About

Go Back I am neonaut cactus kao. I like cacti Mutant Standard Emoji: cactus and slimes Mutant Standard Emoji:slime which I believe goes without saying.

Neonauticon is my personal site for project notes, blogging, and exploring the indie side of the internet. The microblog is for daily blogging and the blog is for longer-form project notes. Updates are batch uploads, ideally every week or few, you can check the feed to see what’s new. I tried to break out most of the content on the site index but you’ll probably have to dig into the tags and categories to find everything. Currently the site primarily discusses hobbyist electronics, gaming, and the web. I am a solo gaming enthusiast and I like playing, building, and designing all kinds of tabletop and video games.

I am interested in cyberculture, and have written about things like 88x31 button banners, tilde communities, kaoani and more. You can find the apps I sometimes make at sometimesdev.itch.io I am also interested in privacy and free open-source software. Epherma are various web experiments/art projects.

Rainbowsnail by Lividdreams I recently got back into home aquariums. I have a 55 gallon goldfish tank with a red fantail and a calico oranda. I’m also rediscovering my love of freshwater snails. I have a lot of other hobbies, including writing, painting, thrifting, upcycling/recycling, and gardening, that will pop up from time to time.

This static site is generated by Hugo and uses a modified version of goodroot’s Hugo Classic theme. I have a post dedicated to Hugo and Neocities. I also use Mutant Standard emoji.
