I realized I’d sidelined my novel outline and wasn’t being productive, so I finally got around to working on two of my unfinished paintings.
One is a blended gradient with a black circle on it. I was so proud of the gradient I couldn’t bear the thought I might mess it up, so I left it on my wall for a long time. I finally added the circle yesterday. I use contact paper and gloss medium, which results in a perfect hardedge circle. It’s not finished, but I’m so taken with it right now I’m not quite ready to add the last black shape and once again risk ruining it. The more I look at it though, the more I come to terms with finishing it. Maybe this week.
