I’ve been on the Internet since the mid-nineties, but I’d never heard of JAUP before. The concept started when the webmaster decided all his webpage ideas were useless and began a sort of membership program for similar pages. As described: “JAUP is simply a list of sites that have not made it to the Top 5%, or Bottom 95% ,YET! Who knows, maybe JAUP can help.”
JAUP was revived by billsworld and is well-known on NeoCities. I was interested in the concept and even asked billsworld if he’d be up for an interview at some point, but never got around to it. The original webmaster recently discovered the JAUP revival and agreed to an interview, which has been publish as The Story of JAUP! An Interview With The Original JAUP Master on the Weird Fantastic Toy Adventures blog.
