I've already disentangled myself from a lot of what we'd call the Corporate Web™®, but I recently decided to resume my exploration of the small web (or smolweb). As part of this, I finally signed up at 32-Bit Cafe to lurrrk (R^3 Level Lurk). Good timing, because Small Cyprus suggested having a Small Web July and that sounds great and dovetails nicely with my blog (re)construction project.
I've sorta fallen off the indieweb bandwagon cause I got a lot of broken stuff. I never got webmentions to work, my RSS is a mess, etc. At the very least, I need to fix the RSS feed. This month my project will be building the Stuff that lets me better connect with my small web neighbors.
Today's work: I whined and dragged my heels about making a new CSS for the blog, but then I finally did and I'm very happy with the result. I brought back the cactus kao as mood ambassadors. I still got some stuff to do, namely a thumbnail generator, but for now I'm happy.
I briefly (for, like, a nanosecond) considered abandoning my beloved Mutant Standard Emoji for the more conventional ones, but.... naaah. I like them too much. Also, it's zero work to keep using my current setup.
